Dry leaves fell asleep forever
Under the mud so clever
Life had been always green
Without any dust but clean
Swayed with tiny twigs as hands
Suddenly some sparrow lands
Winged under its weight there
Though it was a nightmare
Now lay mingled with dirt
Always sleeping not hurt
Crunchy noise of someone’s foot
It was a stray dog sniffing
Put its wide paw misfitting
Few drops of urine it sprayed
Nastily lifted its rear leg
Saw nothing but obscene
The dry leaves had no choice
But to stay with crumpling noise
Destiny was at their door
When they were not at the floor
Alas ! They slept for ever
Seen dry leaves every where
No satire nor it was a nightmare
Dry leaves fell asleep for ever
